Forum Account
We only allow one forum account per person. Anyone creating additional accounts, without the agreement of our staff, will be banned.
Forum username
You are not allowed to register with a mig33 administrator name if you are not that specific mig33 administrator in question. If we dectect a non-mig33 administrator member using a mig33 administrator name we will ask that member to pick a new username. If we dont get any response from that user we will change the username and contact the user via his/her registered forum e-mail. This rule also applies for mig33 team and merchants names. Your username must not be too similar to other users, mig33 administrators or mig33 team.
The mig33 ID you indicate in your profile must be your real one. If you put someone else's mig33 username in your profile, your account will be banned or deleted. Users with advertisement in their usernames, such as example.com can be be deleted without any warning.
Avatar and signature
- Must not contain any offensive material or anything not suitable for minors.
- Avatar limit: Maximum size: 120x120 pixels, minimum size: 50x50, maximum file size: 40 kB
- Signature limit: Maximum size of signature, including images and text, is limited to 120 pixels in height, 600 pixels in width, and 80 kB in file size.
Avatars and signatures that defame a forum user, mig33 admin, mig33 user or mig33 staff are not allowed. As much as we respect users freedom of speech, it is incorrect to defame others unlawfully. For example, a statement such as "[mig33_admin_username] is corrupt, demote him!" will not be allowed in your signature, while "I think [mig33_admin_username] should be demoted" may be allowed. The important thing is to make it clear that the statement in your signature is your own opinion and may not necessarily reflect reality. If you are unsure whether your signature would be allowed, feel free to PM a moderator so that they can check it and give you an answer.
Banning, warnings and amnesty
When a user gets some warnings (due to breaking forum rules), his/her account may be temporarily suspended or banned. For one day to forever, it depends on the reasons of the banning. When a user is temporarily banned this way, some people think they can come back before the end of the penalty with another account. This is clearly a provocation and requires immediate action. So, the secondary accounts created/used by the same user during the time of his suspension will be immediately deleted, and the user doing that takes the risk of his/her IP and first user name being banned forever.
Exceptionally, is possible to be granted amnesty to come back if your account has been banned permanently. You can send an e-mail to emil@mig33fans.com and explain that you would like to have your account unbanned. You need to have a good reason why we should unban your account, and if it's accepted you will be on probation.
Proxy servers
You are not allowed to use proxy servers to register or post on the forum. Discovered proxy addresses may be banned, with the exception of addresses used by Opera Software for their application, Opera Mini. If we determine that you are using a proxy server, we may take action to permanently ban your user name.
Your privacy
We respect your privacy here at mig33fans.com and we will collect information about you to verify your identity. Your information is never sold. Your information may be shared with third parties such as the mig33 staff and law-enforcement authorities if deemed necessary. If you fabricate the identity of someone else, you automatically forfeit all privacy rights on mig33fans.com for that particular username.
Posting
Multiple posting
Think twice before multiposting the same thing again and again. Multiple posts in the same section or across multiple sections will not be tolerated. Multiposting will be considered as spamming and may get your account banned or deleted.
Post titles
For quick responses to your queries, please name your topic properly. "HELLLPPPP MEEEE", "S.O.S.", "check that", or "IN TROUBLE" just doesn't get the right attention. In fact in most cases it prevents people from even viewing the thread.
Spelling
Please try to get your spellings right. Don't use slang or abbreviations, this is a forum - not a chat room. Many people use search engines to search for information. If you do type wrong spelling they will not be able to find your post. Monosyllabic replies and replies such as "Thanks", "I agree", "Yes", "Cool", "LOL", etc. are usually deleted. Try to bring something new into your post, or use the thanks button.
Capital letters
Please do not type in all CAPITAL LETTERS. Typing in all capital letters is considered as shouting in online communities.
Illegal suggestions
Respect the copyrights of other people, websites, software and printed media. Please no pointers, links, how-to’s, advocating any illegal activity. Posts regarding such things as warez, cracks etc. will be deleted and the user warned.
Third-party mig33 software
Any discussion related to Hang Code, Kick Code, Color Codes, disconnecting code, multikicking or flooding softwares, hacking advices, or any third-party mig33 application, etc will be removed without warning. These are mig33 vulnerabilities that degrades the user experience, such discussions will not only be removed without warning but can also get your account banned or deleted.
Obscene language
Please refrain from using any vulgar language that would offend someone else. Religious or racial discussions also have to be avoided, and globally, respect is due to all. We all have different spiritual beliefs. You are required to respect the religion of every forum member. Do not post topics or create usernames that may be considered offensive by other religious factions. This is a very serious matter and strict measures will be used for breakers of this rule. Personal comments about individual users will be deleted. Inappropriate words will be edited.
Praise topics
As much as it is encouraging to learn about how well some mig33 administrators or users are doing, it can become a nuisance when everybody is posting about how much they love their favourite admins, or support their favourite candidates. Topics such as [mig33_admin_username] in action! are nice but should really be avoided to keep order in the forum.
Normal users
Topics and posts about a normal user, even an ex-admin, are not allowed, even if they're praising or simply positive. Topics like [username] should be the next new admin or [username] must be back as an admin are not accepted and will be trashed. This is because we have observed this kind of topic always leads to disagreements and finally fights, there will always be someone against that statement and bad comments about that user. In conclusion, don't talk about simple users, to avoid seeing your post deleted.
Complaint Guidelines
Complaints against a room owner is not allowed, send an e-mail to mig33 staff if you have problems with a room owner.
You are not allowed to make any complaints against a normal user. A normal user refers to any user that is not a mig33 admin or mig33 staff member. Ex-administrators also fall in the category of normal users. You may not post anything that may incriminate a normal user, even in the case of the said normal user making a complaint against a mig33 admin/staff. Only complaints about people who are currently in power is allowed. The only situation when a document about a user is allowed, is to show the exact events that happened in a chatroom, at the exact moment the complaint is talking about, and of course, in the same chatroom, in order to show more details about the context of that complaint. This would be a rare exception to the rules.
Complaints can only be made in the mig33 Administration and Moderation and Merchants Complaints
If you feel you were unjustly treated by a member of forum staff, you may file a complaint in the Users Feedback area with proofs only, and without disrespecting anyone. You should always try to solve the problems by sending a pm to the staff member before you make a topic.
After a complaint has been settled or deemed as invalid, it will be locked. You may not revisit a locked complaint without explicit permission from forum staff.
The following procedures must be followed to file a mig33 admin/staff complaint:
Create a new topic clearly stating the admin/staff username and the nature of the complaint
E.g. [mig33_admin_username] banned my ID [your_username]
Do not claim that a mig33 administrator is corrupt/evil/unfair in your topic. If this is true, it will come to fruition within the topic. The following are bad examples that should not be used to file a complaint:
- [mig33_admin_username] is corrupt and maga!
- [mig33_admin_username] is a cheater, multikicker and slanger!
- [mig33_admin_username] should be demoted!
Include adequate information in your complaint
Don't just post a topic saying [mig33_admin_username] kicked/abused you and you want him/her dead. You must post an accurate recollection of the events prior to the incident. This must include a time and date, and a series of snapshots showing the events happening in the room before you were kicked/abused. Snapshots from multiple IDs in the same room may not be accepted. It's better to take your snapshots from one ID to maintain solidarity. The series of snapshots must be complete to leave no doubt about what happened before the problem. Important: Your snapshots must have no trace of edition on them, no highlight or underline, no arrows, etc. They must be original snapshots with no addition. Topics with incomplete proofs can be deleted by moderators, it's up to you to create a full file before posting a complaint.
Don't make a final judgment
After posting your complaint, don't judge anyone. Most people have a tendency to write silly conclusions like [mig33_admin_username] should be demoted, [mig33_admin_username] doesn't believe in God/Allah and has to be punished, [mig33_admin_username] is corrupt and if mig33 does not take action, mig33 is corrupt. Such things aren't allowed, after you post your topic, don't come to a conclusion prematurely. If your complaint is valid and true, then this will be evident anyway, and all will be well.
Attacking other normal users and responding to attacks from other normal users
If you post something that includes the name of a normal user, expect the whole post to be deleted. More specifically, you may not post anything offensive to another user, regardless of the case. If you are attacked by a normal user, do not respond to the post. You must remain calm and report it, it will be handled by the forum staff. This is very important, complaining and posting negatively about normal users may get you a permanent ban.
Fake allegations
Posting a fake complaint with fabricated evidence will get you permanently banned. No discussion.
Bending the truth "a little" still counts as fabrication, so watch out on this one.
Advertising
If you want to advertise you have to contact and get permission from the site owner, Emil. Advertising without permission is not allowed. This applies to the whole forum, username, avatar, signature, posts and private messages. Mentioning the address or name, of other forums or sites related to mig33, is also considered as advertisement and is not allowed. Forum Moderators
Forum moderators are here to ensure that the forum remains a conducive environment for clear and conflict-free communication. To maintain high quality content, moderators may remove messages which stray from the topic or do not contribute new ideas. They're free to remove any content going against any of the forum rules. Moderators may also take action against forum users on the behalf of forum administrators, in the event of rule breaches by the said forum users.
Being a moderator on the forum is a privilege that is granted to deserving users. Asking to be a moderator will get you blacklisted, it's not the right method to become a moderator. Moderators are selected periodically by existing staff, and mig33fans.com reserves the right to select and remove moderators at their own discretion. You may not question staff decisions on moderator selection.
